BREEDING
We strive to breed functional cattle suitable to the Australian market and its conditions.
​Our cattle are retained, raised and fed with our clients operation in mind and are consistent with the way in which a commercial herd is run.

​Satisfied repeat clients which have successfully used and continue to use Tullayr Simmentals genetics give us the confidence that our animals perform in the way they were intended. Our clients have had great success with our bulls in cross breeding vealer markets, getting a soft calf to market whilst maximising yields and returns.

Our goal here at Tullayr Simmentals is to play our part in making your enterprise a profitable one. Weight for age and carcass attributes are front of mind in our breeding operation. Running our herd under commercial conditions and producing an animal that can perform in our clients herds is of paramount importance.

Adaptable
We strive to produce a moderate framed easy doing animal with a great temperament. Quiet cattle will settle into their new herds quicker and produce progeny that have a better temperament that are easier to handle and finish faster.

Functional
​Selected for structural correctness, our cattle must be mobile and have the conformation that will allow them to produce well into their twilight years. Cattle with sound feet and legs, that are well pigmented and polled will have longevity within the herd and provide a sound and viable base within the enterprise.

Fertile
We view fertility within the herd beyond whether a cow falls pregnant each mating. Selling bulls means we cast a very critical eye over our bulls. Ensuring our bulls are semen tested and possess a clean and functional sheath will allow them to perform as required within our clients herds.
